A 60 to 70m motor yacht the Maldives in the 2026 late November through mid-April northeast-monsoon window runs $900,000 to $1,340,000 per week plus 32 to 36 percent APA, takes 12 to 14 guests across 7 to 9 cabins, and carries 18 to 26 crew. The bracket's Maldivian reality is that the 26 ring-shaped atolls running roughly 500 nautical miles north to south across the equator carry zero marina infrastructure at any LOA: the bracket runs entirely at-anchor and on lagoon-mooring at the atoll resort-island pickup points, the uninhabited cay daylight at-anchor, and the inhabited local-island cultural-programme landings, with the Velana International MLE on the North Male atoll at 4 degrees 11 minutes north running the structural embarkation by tender or seaplane transfer to the yacht at the North Male anchorage. The cruising permit framework issued through the Maldives Ministry of Tourism allocates the cruising programme by atoll with the 30 to 60 day lead-time minimum on the bracket-fit booking, and the Marine Protected Areas (Hanifaru Bay in Baa Atoll, Maaya Thila in Ari Atoll, Banana Reef in North Male) carry separate seasonal access permits. Provisioning runs structurally above the Caribbean and Mediterranean baseline on the import-everything supply chain.
Why the Maldives is an entirely at-anchor and lagoon-mooring product at the bracket
The Maldives carry no commercial superyacht marina at any of the 26 atolls or the 1,192 individual islands. The bracket runs the structural at-anchor and lagoon-mooring at the atoll resort-island pickup points (Soneva Fushi at Baa, Soneva Jani at Noonu, Cheval Blanc Randheli at Noonu, Velaa Private Island at Noonu, the Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru at Baa, the Waldorf Astoria Ithaafushi at South Male, the One and Only Reethi Rah at North Male, the COMO Maalifushi at Thaa) and runs the cross-atoll repositioning on the open-water transit between the atoll rings. The bracket without prior cruising permit coordination on the Maldives Ministry of Tourism framework reads structurally short, and we would route the booking with the permit coordination confirmed in writing through the central agent at the 30 to 60 day lead-time minimum. The Hanifaru Bay Baa Atoll Marine Protected Area on the manta aggregation framework runs the structural separate access permit on the May through November southwest-monsoon manta-season window with the permit allocation through the Baa Atoll Biosphere Reserve Office.
Maldivian atoll daily call structure and the cross-atoll repositioning
The bracket runs the Maldivian weekly product on a single-atoll or two-atoll cluster pattern with the structural cross-atoll open-water transit. The North Male atoll on the Velana International MLE seaplane and tender embarkation runs the structural arrival on the One and Only Reethi Rah, the Soneva Jani Noonu transfer, and the Four Seasons Kuda Huraa shore-tender. The Ari Atoll on the central western face on the Maaya Thila reef and the Vakarufalhi shore-tender runs the bracket-fit daylight dive call with the South Ari whale-shark season window. The South Male atoll on the Waldorf Astoria Ithaafushi shore-tender runs the daylight transit through the Vaadhoo Channel. The Baa Atoll on the central northern face on the Hanifaru Bay manta aggregation permit and the Soneva Fushi and Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru shore-tender runs the structural manta-season cluster on the May through November southwest-monsoon window. The Noonu atoll on the Soneva Jani, Cheval Blanc Randheli, and Velaa Private Island shore-tender runs the structural northern atoll cluster. The equatorial south Huvadhoo and Addu atoll on the cross-equatorial transit runs the bracket-fit expedition extension on the 14-night programme. The southwest monsoon from May through October pushes the bracket east to Phuket and the Andaman or south to the equatorial atolls.
Weekly rate map for the 2026 calendar
Rates below are firm winter pricing (late November 2025 through mid-April 2026 northeast-monsoon window) before APA at 32 to 36 percent (the Maldives Ministry of Tourism cruising permit on the atoll allocation framework, the Hanifaru Bay Baa Atoll Marine Protected Area access permit on the Baa Biosphere Reserve framework, the Maaya Thila Ari Atoll dive-site reserve permit, the Velana MLE Cat A helipad shuttle on the cross-atoll seaplane and helicopter framework, the structural import-everything provisioning supply chain, and the daily at-anchor and lagoon-mooring tender consumption) and gratuity at 10 to 15 percent on the Indian Ocean framework.
| LOA bracket | Motor yacht (low to high) | Sailing yacht (low to high) |
|---|---|---|
| 60 to 63m | $900K to $1,020K per week | $690K to $810K per week |
| 63 to 67m | $1,020K to $1,180K per week | $770K to $910K per week |
| 67 to 70m | $1,180K to $1,340K per week | $890K to $1,020K per week |
The NYE-Three-Kings-Day cluster (December 26 through January 6) holds a 35 to 50 percent premium on the wider Maldivian winter base with the bracket inventory tight 12 to 18 months out on the structurally limited 60 to 70m basin pool (roughly 12 to 18 yachts the basin across the northeast-monsoon season). The mid-January through mid-March central winter holds the headline rate with the strongest dive-site visibility window. Easter holds a 25 to 35 percent premium. The May through October southwest-monsoon shoulder window runs the bracket's structural off-season with the basin fleet exodus east to Phuket and the Andaman, and the manta-season Hanifaru Bay window from late May through October runs the structural southwest-monsoon premium at the upper end of the bracket. For wider context see 60-70m Seychelles, 60-70m French Polynesia, 60-70m Caribbean, and the lower-LOA comparison at 50-60m Maldives.
What is in the bracket in this bracket
Cabins. Seven to nine. Bridge-deck owner suite plus on-deck VIP plus five to seven main and lower-deck doubles on the 12 to 14 guest envelope.
Crew. Eighteen to twenty-six. The Maldivian captain bench rewards prior Maldives Ministry of Tourism cruising permit coordination on the atoll allocation framework, prior Hanifaru Bay Baa Atoll Biosphere Reserve manta-permit coordination, prior Maaya Thila Ari Atoll dive-site reserve permit coordination, prior Velana MLE seaplane and tender embarkation coordination on the cross-atoll guest-transfer, prior cross-atoll open-water repositioning routing across North Male, Ari, Baa, Noonu, and the equatorial south, prior Maldives Marine Research Centre liaison on the marine-park compliance, and prior MYBA Indian Ocean addendum coordination. The chief stew bench with prior Soneva Fushi Baa, Soneva Jani Noonu, Cheval Blanc Randheli Noonu, One and Only Reethi Rah North Male, and Waldorf Astoria Ithaafushi South Male shore-coordination is the client-facing load. Chef profiles skew toward the Asian fine-dining vein with Japanese and pan-Asian capability at the bracket.
Tenders. Primary 14 to 16m fast tender plus a 12m beach tender plus a chase boat plus a dedicated dive tender (6 to 8m support boat with rack and compressor) plus an 11 to 12m limousine tender. The Maldives are a dive-and-snorkel charter at the bracket's pattern, with the dedicated dive tender on the multi-day dive support and the Hanifaru Bay and Maaya Thila daily call. The cross-atoll at-anchor and lagoon-mooring shore-tender rotation runs the tender bench harder than a marina-heavy programme.
At-anchor stabilizers and beach club. Load-bearing on the entirely at-anchor and lagoon-mooring Maldivian weekly product. The northeast monsoon at force 3 to 5 in the December through March central winter window runs the at-anchor zero-speed product as the structural daily-comfort baseline, with the atoll-rim swell on the open-water cross-atoll transit running the structural daily structure.
Helipad. Cat A workable at the upper end on the Velana MLE 30 to 60 minute shuttle to the central atoll guest-transfer, but the seaplane network on the Trans Maldivian Airways framework runs the structural inter-atoll guest movement. The helipad option benefits long-haul guest pickup from the Velana International MLE more than the inter-atoll guest movement.
Submarine and watersports kit. The bracket's structural equipment differentiator. The Maldives reward a deep watersports programme (paddleboards, kayaks, e-foils, multi-day dive support, snorkeling gear with manta-camera platforms), and the submarine option at a small share of the bracket runs as the marquee value-add for the manta-and-reef programme.
Trip shape that fits the bracket
The 7-night North Male and Ari Atoll routing runs Velana International MLE embarkation through the seaplane or tender transfer to the North Male anchorage, two nights at the North Male with the One and Only Reethi Rah and Four Seasons Kuda Huraa shore-tender, transit to the Ari Atoll, two nights at the Ari Atoll with the Maaya Thila daylight dive call and the Vakarufalhi shore-tender, one night at the South Ari for the whale-shark season window, one night at the Vaavu Atoll on the cross-atoll transit, and a final night on the North Male anchorage disembark with the seaplane shuttle to the Velana MLE. The 10-night Baa Atoll manta-season extension routes the northbound transit to the Baa Atoll on the Hanifaru Bay daily call permit on the prior Baa Biosphere Reserve coordination, four nights at the Baa Atoll with the Soneva Fushi and Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru shore-tender, three nights at the Noonu Atoll with the Soneva Jani and Cheval Blanc Randheli shore-tender, and the southbound return to the South Male anchorage. The 14-night equatorial south expedition routes the cross-equatorial transit south through South Male, Vaavu, Meemu, and Thaa to the Huvadhoo and Addu atoll on the bracket's structural long-form expedition product on the 60 to 90 day permit lead time.
What the bracket does not do well in the Maldives
The Marina-side weekly plan. The Maldives carry zero marina infrastructure at any LOA on any of the 26 atolls. The walk-up to overnight the 60 to 70m bracket on the alongside structure reads as the structural blocker on the entire basin geography. We would pass on the marina-side plan and route the booking with the wider basin bookends (Phuket and the Andaman entry from the east, Mahe and the Seychelles from the west) for the marina-side embarkation or accept the entirely at-anchor and lagoon-mooring weekly product as the structural Maldivian reality.
The Hanifaru Bay walk-up. The Hanifaru Bay Baa Atoll Marine Protected Area manta-permit on the Baa Biosphere Reserve framework runs the structural prior coordination on the manta-season daily access allocation, and the walk-up without prior Hanifaru permit coordination reads as the structural blocker on the manta-aggregation daily call. We would pass on the walk-up Hanifaru plan and route the call with the prior Baa Biosphere Reserve permit coordination confirmed in writing through the central agent at contract.
The May through October northeast-monsoon plan. The southwest monsoon from May through October brings the stronger trade-wind pattern, increased rain, and the structural fleet exodus east to Phuket and the Andaman or south to the equatorial atolls. May and October run as transitional shoulder windows with thinner inventory at the bracket and reduced visibility at the dive sites, with June through September the basin's structural off-season at the LOA. The Hanifaru Bay manta-aggregation window in the late May through October period runs the structural southwest-monsoon premium, but the wider basin runs the off-season. We would pass on the central southwest-monsoon plan outside the Hanifaru window and route the bracket on the eastward Phuket and Andaman or the equatorial south extension.
The inland excursion plan. The Maldives have effectively no land programme above the resort-island and inhabited-island cultural-landing pattern. We would pair the Maldives with a pre- or post-charter Sri Lanka stay on the Galle Fort and Yala National Park framework for the deep cultural and land-tour programme.
Our pick
For two couples plus children, 7-night North Male and Ari Atoll routing in the late February central winter window with the Velana MLE seaplane embarkation to the North Male anchorage, two nights at the North Male with the One and Only Reethi Rah shore-tender, transit to the Ari Atoll on the prior Maaya Thila permit coordination, two nights at the Ari Atoll with the Maaya Thila daylight dive call, one night at the South Ari for the whale-shark window, one night at the Vaavu Atoll on the cross-atoll transit, and a final night on the North Male anchorage disembark: a 63 to 65m motor yacht, 8 cabins, twin fast tenders plus chase plus dedicated dive tender plus limousine, submarine optional, captain bench on the Maldives Ministry of Tourism cruising permit coordination, Maaya Thila Ari Atoll dive-site permit coordination, Velana MLE seaplane and tender embarkation coordination, and cross-atoll open-water repositioning routing, chief stew bench with prior One and Only Reethi Rah and Soneva Fushi shore-coordination, Japanese and pan-Asian chef capability. Budget $1.12M per week, all-in roughly $1.51M including APA at 34 percent and Maldives cruising permit and marine-protected-area framework. Lead time 9 to 12 months for the central NYE-and-US-school-break window, 12 to 18 months for the NYE cluster on the structurally limited basin pool.
