A 50 to 60m yacht Thailand Phuket in the dry season (November through April 2026 to 2027) runs $275,000 to $395,000 per week plus 25 to 32 percent APA, takes 10 to 12 guests across 6 cabins, and carries 14 to 18 crew. Phuket at this LOA is an Andaman Sea winter product on the western Thai coast at 7 to 9 degrees north, with the active 50 to 60m fleet at any peak-season week sitting at 3 to 6 yachts on prior positioning from the Mediterranean fall-rotation or the Indian Ocean basin. The bracket runs the destination on the Yacht Haven Marina Laem Phrao base at the northern Phuket tip, the Ao Po Grand Marina secondary on the eastern Phuket face, the Phang Nga Bay UNESCO karst-cluster product on the northern reach, the Similan and Surin national park bracket on the northwestern open Andaman, and the Phi Phi plus Krabi southern Andaman extension. The Thai Marine Department cruising permit through the Phuket Customs House and the National Park entry-fee framework run the bracket's clearance structure on the prior agent coordination.
Why the bracket calls Phuket specifically
The Phang Nga Bay UNESCO karst-cluster product. Phang Nga Bay on the eastern Andaman coast between Phuket and the mainland at 8 degrees 15 minutes north holds the bracket's marquee shore programme on the 400-plus limestone karst islets (Koh Phing Kan or James Bond Island, Koh Panyee floating Muslim fishing village, Koh Hong inner-lagoon hong, Koh Yang sea-cave hong, Koh Talu transit-cave hong). The bracket runs the Phang Nga call on the prior commercial-tender daylight permit coordination through the Ao Phang Nga National Park office and the residual late-afternoon at-anchor hold on the Koh Hong protected southern face.
The Similan and Surin Islands national park product. The Similan Islands National Park 70 kilometres northwest of Phuket at 8 degrees 33 minutes north holds the bracket's expedition product on the nine-island granite-and-sand chain with the Donald Duck Bay (Koh Similan No. 8) and the Sail Rock (Hin Pousar) PADI dive product and the Anita's Reef and East of Eden underwater-photography programme. The Surin Islands National Park 100 kilometres further northwest at 9 degrees 25 minutes north holds the Richelieu Rock pinnacle-dive product (whale-shark daylight on the prior 8 to 12 week historical-frequency basis). The Similan and Surin parks run the seasonal closure from mid-May through mid-October on the southwest monsoon basis and the dry-season window opens to commercial-yacht entry on the prior national-park-fee coordination at 1,800 baht per guest per day on the standing 2026 schedule.
The Phi Phi and Krabi southern Andaman extension. Koh Phi Phi Don and Koh Phi Phi Leh on the southern Andaman at 7 degrees 44 minutes north hold the Maya Bay shore programme (Maya Bay reopened to controlled-access daylight in January 2022 on the post-closure recovery framework with the daily-cap structure on the prior national-park coordination), the Loh Samah Bay anchor on the Phi Phi Leh southern face, and the Bamboo and Mosquito Islands northern daylight on the bracket fit. The Krabi southern bracket on the Railay Beach limestone-tower shore daylight, the Hong Islands inner-lagoon hong, and the Koh Hua Khwan southern day-anchor extension on the prior tender-routing coordination round the southern Andaman product.
The Yacht Haven Marina and Ao Po Grand Marina base. Yacht Haven Marina at Laem Phrao on the northern Phuket tip at 8 degrees 9 minutes north handles the bracket alongside on the deep-water southern fairway with the 60m-plus capacity on the outer-T berth structure (the Phuket alongside standard for the 50 to 60m bracket) and the prior agent allocation on the seasonal peak fit. Ao Po Grand Marina at Ao Po on the eastern Phuket face at 8 degrees 4 minutes north handles the secondary alongside on the protected eastern hold with the prior berth allocation. The base runs 30 minutes by road from Phuket International (HKT) for the bracket-fit guest transfer. HKT takes direct fixed-wing from HKG, SIN, DXB, DOH, FRA, LHR, ZRH, NRT, ICN, PEK, BKK, and the wider Asian and intra-European network on the Thai Airways, Singapore Airlines, Emirates, Cathay Pacific, and the Lufthansa codeshare structure.
Weekly rate map for dry season 2026 to 2027
Rates below are firm dry-season pricing (November 2026 through April 2027), before APA at 25 to 32 percent and gratuity at 10 to 15 percent (the lower Thai gratuity floor reflects the regional norm relative to the wider Mediterranean and Caribbean standard). The Thai Marine Department cruising permit, the Ao Phang Nga National Park commercial-tender entry, the Similan and Surin Islands National Park fee structure, the Maya Bay controlled-access daylight allocation, and the Phuket Customs clearance run through the APA on the daily basis. The 7 percent Thai VAT on charter activity applies on the wider basis and the captain's agent runs the prior coordination.
| LOA bracket | Motor yacht (low to high) | Sailing yacht and motor-sailor (low to high) |
|---|---|---|
| 50 to 53m | $275K to $310K per week | $235K to $275K per week |
| 53 to 57m | $310K to $350K per week | $270K to $310K per week |
| 57 to 60m | $350K to $395K per week | $305K to $345K per week |
The peak dry-season window runs late December through mid-February on the structural Christmas-and-Chinese-New-Year calendar and pulls a 10 to 18 percent premium against the November and March shoulder edges. The April pre-monsoon shoulder edge runs the structurally short window on the climbing humidity. The Phuket all-in week at the bracket runs roughly 8 to 14 percent below the equivalent Maldives dry-season week on the wider Indian Ocean fuel and provisioning cost, roughly 4 to 8 percent below the equivalent Seychelles dry-season week, and roughly 6 to 12 percent above the equivalent Indonesian Raja Ampat dry-season week. For broader context see 50-60m Maldives, 50-60m Raja Ampat, and the Southeast Asia charter season how-to.
What the bracket buys you in this bracket
Cabins. Six standard. The Phuket dry-season pool at the bracket runs the on-deck master plus VIP plus four guest doubles as the layout, calibrated to the multi-couple Andaman dry-season week pattern with the warm-water swim and dive product across the wider footprint.
Crew. Fourteen to eighteen. The Phuket call rewards a captain bench with prior Yacht Haven Marina Laem Phrao outer-T alongside tenure, prior Ao Phang Nga National Park commercial-tender coordination, prior Similan and Surin National Park entry routine, prior Maya Bay controlled-access daylight allocation through the Hat Noppharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi park office, and prior Thai Marine Department cruising-permit bench. The chef bench runs the Thai-and-Asian fusion pool with the Phuket old-town wet-market provisioning (Soi Romanee and Talat Sod), the southern Thai seafood and aquaculture supply, the Krabi rock-lobster delivery, and the prior fine-dining tender shore programme through Suay and Saffron Cruise. The deck-team bench with prior PADI rescue-diver and IDC certification on the bracket-fit dive product is the structural question on the peak-season Similan and Phi Phi rotation.
Tenders. Primary 10 to 11m fast tender plus a 7 to 8m beach tender plus a chase boat plus a dedicated dive tender plus a tender garage water-toy load. The Phang Nga Koh Hong inner-lagoon daylight, the Koh Panyee floating-village shore call, the Similan Donald Duck Bay shore, the Surin Richelieu Rock dive daylight, the Phi Phi Maya Bay controlled-access tender, and the Krabi Railay Beach shore landing run tender-heavy on the wider daily programme. The Yacht Haven Marina alongside takes the primary on the marina shore shuttle.
At-anchor stabilizers. Recommended but not load-bearing. The Phuket Andaman dry-season corridor runs the structurally light-swell window through the central November to April calendar (the southwest-monsoon-shadow basin holds the residual 0.5 to 1.0 metre swell on the protected eastern Phang Nga reach and the 1.0 to 1.5 metre on the open western Similan transit). The 2018-and-newer hulls running the zero-speed product hold the bracket fit on the wider seasonal corridor, and the bracket-fit lower-LOA end runs the structurally adequate stabilizer fit on the standard underway hold.
Beach club. Load-bearing at the bracket. The Andaman water temperature runs 28 to 30 degrees through the central dry-season window and the beach club open-platform daylight runs the structural day-anchor swim and dive-entry programme. The bracket-fit guest dive and snorkel routine runs the open beach-club deck on the Koh Hong, the Donald Duck Bay, the Loh Samah Bay, and the Hong Islands at-anchor hold on the daily structure.
Helipad. Touch-and-go on the upper end, not load-bearing on the wider bracket. The Phuket cross-island helicopter shuttle from HKT to the Khao Sok National Park interior shore daylight and the southern Krabi Ko Lanta cross-island programme runs the bracket-fit upper-end product on the prior commercial coordination. The Cat A helipad reads as structurally light at the bracket relative to the wider Phuket-area tender-and-coach network on the 1 to 2 hour ground transit and the bracket without the helipad reads structurally adequate for the Phuket-and-Phang-Nga product.
Trip shape that fits the bracket
The bracket's Phuket call sits inside a 10 to 14 night Andaman dry-season programme rather than a 7-night Mediterranean-style port-of-call rotation because the 100-kilometre Similan and Surin offshore reach, the Phang Nga UNESCO karst-cluster routing, and the Phi Phi southern Andaman extension run the destination on the structurally long footprint. The 10-night Phang Nga and Phi Phi routing runs Phuket embarkation, one night at Yacht Haven Marina or Ao Po Grand Marina for the clearance and the chief stew restock, two nights through the Phang Nga UNESCO karst cluster with the Koh Hong inner-lagoon and the Koh Panyee shore daylight, one night on the Koh Yao Yai and Koh Yao Noi eastern Phang Nga corridor, two nights through the Phi Phi southern Andaman with the Maya Bay controlled-access daylight and the Loh Samah Bay anchor, one night on the Bamboo Island northern daylight, two nights through the Krabi southern bracket with the Railay Beach shore and the Hong Islands hong daylight, one night at Yacht Haven for the disembark.
The 14-night Andaman full-circle routing including the Similan and Surin northern extension runs Phuket embarkation, one night at Yacht Haven for the clearance, two nights through the Similan Islands National Park with the Donald Duck Bay and the East of Eden dive product, two nights through the Surin Islands National Park with the Richelieu Rock pinnacle and the Mu Ko Surin Moken sea-gypsy shore daylight, the southbound transit through the Phang Nga northern reach with the Koh Yang sea-cave hong, two nights through the central Phang Nga UNESCO cluster with the Koh Hong and the Koh Panyee shore, two nights through the Phi Phi southern Andaman with the Maya Bay daylight and the Loh Samah anchor, two nights through the Krabi southern reach with the Railay Beach and the Hong Islands, one night at Yacht Haven for the disembark. Fourteen nights. The bracket-fit Andaman-full-circle structural shape that holds the destination's strongest product separation.
The 7-night Phuket short loop runs the structural minimum at the bracket on the Phang Nga and Phi Phi triangle, but reads structurally short of the Similan and Surin offshore product. We would route the 10-night minimum on the bracket-fit Phuket week.
What the bracket does not do well at Phuket
The May through October southwest-monsoon plan. The Andaman southwest-monsoon runs the structurally heavy swell on the open western reach, the marine national parks (Similan, Surin) close for the seasonal shutdown from mid-May through mid-October, and the wider Phuket coastline runs the residual heavy-rain and thunderstorm frequency. We would pass on any May through October Phuket plan and route the bracket on the Mediterranean summer rotation or the Indian Ocean Maldives southwestern-monsoon shoulder for the same calendar.
The non-permit Similan or Surin overnight. The Similan and Surin National Park overnight at-anchor framework runs on the prior commercial-yacht-permit coordination through the Hat Noppharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi (the relevant Department of National Parks regional office) and the standing daylight-only at-anchor at the Donald Duck Bay and the Richelieu Rock reads as the structural constraint without the overnight permit. We would pass on any unconfirmed Similan or Surin overnight plan and route the daylight-only structure with the night-transit return to the Phang Nga or Phuket anchor.
The Maya Bay walk-up daylight without the controlled-access allocation. The Maya Bay reopening framework runs on the daily-cap controlled-access daylight (the post-2022 recovery structure limits the daily guest count and the captain's agent runs the prior allocation through the park office). The walk-up tender approach without the prior allocation reads as the structural blocker on the bracket-fit Phi Phi rotation. We would pass on the unconfirmed Maya Bay daylight and route the alternative Loh Samah Bay shore on the southern Phi Phi Leh face.
The high-volume sundowner-shore-only plan. The Patong nightclub and the Phuket town shore programme runs the bracket's structural off-fit at the LOA on the high-volume volume-tourism corridor, and the bracket-fit Phuket week routes the shore programme through Phuket Old Town Soi Romanee, the Boat Lagoon and Ao Po Grand Marina fine-dining tender shore, and the at-anchor shore daylight rather than the Patong corridor. We would pass on the Patong-centred plan and require the cross-island shore programme on the bracket fit.
What we would book
