A 50 to 60m motor yacht Sicily in the 2026 high-season window (mid-June to early September) runs $385,000 to $620,000 per week plus 27 to 30 percent APA, takes 10 to 12 guests on the 6-cabin standard, and carries 13 to 17 crew. Sicily is the structural Mediterranean expedition product at the bracket: Palermo on the northern coast as the western embarkation, Taormina at the Giardini Naxos anchor at the eastern marquee shore position, Catania at the eastern industrial-port embarkation, Siracusa at the southeastern UNESCO old-town, Marsala on the western coast at the Egadi Islands gateway, and the Aeolian Islands (Stromboli, Panarea, Lipari, Salina, Vulcano, Filicudi, Alicudi) at 30 to 80 nautical miles north as the structural marquee extension. The bracket runs the at-anchor product through the week (Sicilian marina infrastructure at the bracket runs structurally tighter than the Costa Smeralda or the Cote d'Azur) and the Sicily-Aeolian combined charter is the dominant 10 to 14-night brief. Rates run 4 to 8 percent below the Costa Smeralda at the same LOA on the lower marina-density premium. Roughly 12 to 20 yachts in this bracket work Sicily through a typical peak summer, mostly on the Sicily-Aeolian or the Sicily-Malta combined charter.

Why the bracket runs Sicily

The active-volcano product is structural. The Stromboli at the northern Aeolian extension runs the structural active-volcano anchor at the northern coast (the Sciara del Fuoco lava-flow visible from the anchor in 25 to 40 metres on volcanic-rock bottom) and the bracket runs the Stromboli overnight as the marquee Tyrrhenian Sicilian at-anchor brief. The captain's prior Stromboli northern-coast anchor judgment (the structural active-volcano wind-shift in the southerly afternoon window) is the structural variable. Confirm at inquiry.

The marina infrastructure runs structurally tight. The Palermo Cala marina holds the 55 to 60m line on prior arrangement at the southern wall, the Taormina has no marina (Giardini Naxos anchor only), the Catania commercial port holds the 55 to 60m line on prior arrangement at the eastern industrial wall, the Siracusa inner port at Ortigia holds the 50 to 55m line on prior arrangement at the supplementary historic-port slot, and the Marsala marina at the western Egadi gateway holds the 50m line on the supplementary captain's arrangement. The bracket runs the Sicilian charter as the structural at-anchor week with the Palermo and the Catania commercial-port nights for the embarkation and the dressed-evening shore programme.

The shore programme is regional and high-density. The Taormina shore programme (the Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo, the Bam Bar, the Granduca, the Wunderbar) at the Giardini Naxos anchor, the Palermo chain (the Antico Caffe Spinnato, the Bye Bye Blues, the Buatta, the Gagini), the Siracusa Ortigia chain (the Don Camillo, the Sicilia in Bocca), the Aeolian chain (the Da Adelina on Panarea, the Da Pina, the Hotel Raya, the Da Pino on Stromboli, the Da Filippino on Lipari) all run the dressed-evening brief. The chief stew's Sicilian and Aeolian shore-restaurant bench is the structural variable. Confirm at inquiry.

What the cruising area gives the bracket

Palermo and the western embarkation. The Palermo Cala marina at the historic harbour and the Palermo airport (PMO) at 32 kilometres run the western Sicilian embarkation. The bracket runs the Palermo overnight at the Cala marina with the dressed-evening shore programme through the historic-centre Quattro Canti and the Vucciria market chain. The Cefalu Old Town anchor at 70 kilometres east of Palermo runs the supplementary one-night leg.

Taormina and the eastern marquee position. The Giardini Naxos anchor below the Taormina cliff (the structural at-anchor in 18 to 28 metres on sand bottom) runs the marquee Sicilian shore position with the structural tender-shuttle to Giardini Naxos beach and the supplementary funicular and shuttle to Taormina old town. The Isola Bella anchor at the southern Taormina lee runs the lunch position. Taormina runs a two to three-night structural leg.

Catania and the eastern Etna coast. The Catania commercial port at the eastern Sicilian wall and the Catania airport (CTA) at 7 kilometres run the eastern Sicilian embarkation. The bracket runs the Catania overnight on prior arrangement at the commercial port with the supplementary Mount Etna shore-trip and the Catania historic-centre dressed-evening programme. Catania runs a one to two-night leg.

Siracusa and the southeastern UNESCO. The Siracusa Ortigia inner port at the historic UNESCO old-town and the Siracusa outer-bay anchor at Plemmirio carry the southeastern programme. The Ortigia stern-to runs the marquee Sicilian historic-port shore position with the structural Ortigia old-town shore programme. Siracusa runs a one to two-night leg.

The southwestern coast (Sciacca, Selinunte, Agrigento). The Sciacca thermal-town inner port at the southwestern coast, the Selinunte archaeological-coast anchor, and the Porto Empedocle commercial port for the Agrigento Valley of Temples shore programme carry the supplementary southwestern leg on the 10 to 14-night charter. The bracket runs the southwestern Sicily as the supplementary cultural extension.

The Egadi Islands and the western extension. The Favignana inner harbour and the Cala Rossa anchor, the Marettimo at-anchor in the Cala Bianca, and the Levanzo at-anchor in the Cala Fredda carry the Egadi programme at 12 to 25 nautical miles west of Marsala. The bracket runs the Egadi as the structural off-mainland Sicilian extension with the Pantelleria and the Lampedusa supplementary deep-south Sicilian outliers at 90 to 200 nautical miles south.

The Aeolian Islands and the northern extension. The Stromboli active-volcano northern coast anchor with the Sciara del Fuoco view at 40 nautical miles north of Milazzo, the Panarea Cala Junco anchor with the Da Adelina shore brief, the Lipari Marina Corta inner harbour, the Salina Pollara anchor, the Vulcano black-sand beach anchor, and the Filicudi-Alicudi western outliers carry the structural Sicilian extension. The bracket runs the Aeolian as the marquee Sicilian week with the structural 5 to 7-night Aeolian leg on the 10 to 14-night charter.

Sicily runs 4 to 8 percent below the Costa Smeralda at the same LOA on the lower marina-density premium and the lower Cote d'Azur and Amalfi shoulder demand. The Aeolian Islands extension runs at the published rate or 4 to 6 percent above on the August peak. For region-by-region rate context see Mediterranean charter weekly rates.

What is in the bracket in this bracket on Sicily

Cabins. Six standard, seven optional. The 6-cabin layout runs the structural Sicilian family or multi-couple week.

Crew. Thirteen to seventeen. The Italian-flag captain and the Italian-fluent chief stew are the structural hires on the Sicilian shore programme. The chef matters: the Sicilian and Aeolian onboard food competes with the Taormina Belmond and the Panarea Hotel Raya shore programmes on the off-shore-programme evenings. The chief stew's Sicilian shore-restaurant bench (the Taormina, Palermo, Siracusa, and Aeolian benches above) is the structural variable. Confirm at inquiry.

Tenders. Primary 9 to 11m fast tender for the Giardini Naxos shore shuttle to Taormina and the Aeolian Stromboli-Panarea-Lipari shore programme, secondary 7m tender for the Egadi at-anchor lunch programme and the Aeolian inner-island shore brief, chase boat for the water-sports brief. The Taormina Giardini Naxos shuttle runs the primary tender through the evening and the Stromboli northern-coast tender programme runs the structural active-volcano-view brief.

Stabilizers. At-anchor stabilizers are load-bearing. The Stromboli northern-coast active-volcano anchor in the southerly afternoon shift, the Taormina Giardini Naxos anchor in the easterly summer window, the Panarea Cala Junco in the westerly afternoon shift, and the Egadi Cala Rossa Favignana in the southerly window all run the at-anchor stabilizers hard. Confirm the zero-speed product on the 2018-and-newer hulls.

Beach club. Load-bearing. The Sicilian and Aeolian charter runs the structural at-anchor swim programme through the day at every leeward anchor position.

Helipad. Structural on the Aeolian extension. The Naples-to-Stromboli 32-minute, Catania-to-Panarea 22-minute, and Catania-to-Lipari 28-minute rotations run the inbound and outbound guest logistics and the cross-cluster Aeolian transit on the multi-rotation brief. Cat A helipad is the structural option at the bracket on the Aeolian-led charter.

Trip shapes that fit the bracket

The 7-night Sicily standard. Embark Palermo Cala marina, one night Palermo and Cefalu, two nights Taormina Giardini Naxos and the supplementary Catania night, one night Siracusa Ortigia, two nights repositioning west via the Aeolian Stromboli day and Panarea overnight, return Palermo. The structural Sicilian charter at the bracket. Suits the family and cultural-led week.

The 7-night Aeolian-led Sicily. Embark Naples Mergellina or Milazzo (Sicily), two nights Stromboli (active-volcano northern coast and Ginostra southern leeward), two nights Panarea (Cala Junco and Da Adelina shore brief), one night Lipari Marina Corta, one night Salina Pollara, one night Vulcano. The Aeolian charter at the bracket. Suits the dedicated couples or expedition-flavored week.

The 10-night Sicily-and-Aeolian standard. Embark Palermo, two nights Palermo and Cefalu, three nights Aeolian Islands (Stromboli, Panarea, Lipari, Salina, Vulcano rotation), two nights Taormina Giardini Naxos, two nights Siracusa and the southeastern coast, one night return. The marquee Sicily-Aeolian charter at the bracket.

The 14-night Sicily-Aeolian-Egadi-Malta arc. Embark Marsala, two nights Egadi (Favignana, Marettimo, Levanzo), two nights southwestern Sicily (Sciacca, Selinunte, Agrigento), two nights Siracusa and Plemmirio, two nights Taormina, three nights Aeolian, two nights repositioning south to Malta (Valletta Grand Harbour) or return Palermo. The dedicated Sicilian-archipelago charter at the bracket.

What the bracket does not do well in Sicily

The Taormina inner-port stern-to. There is no marina; the Giardini Naxos anchor is the structural overnight position and the tender carries the Taormina shore programme. Plan the Taormina night around the at-anchor product and confirm the captain's prior Giardini Naxos easterly summer anchor judgment.

The Siracusa Ortigia inner port at the August peak above 55m. The inner port runs structurally tight at the bracket and the slot count compresses through the August peak. Hold the Plemmirio outer-bay anchor for the overnight if the Ortigia slot is not held.

The Stromboli active-volcano anchor in the August southerly afternoon shift without the captain's prior tenure. The northern-coast anchor with the Sciara del Fuoco view runs structurally exposed to the southerly afternoon window and the captain's prior Stromboli judgment is the structural variable. Confirm at inquiry or hold the Ginostra southern leeward anchor for the overnight.

The 7-night Sicily-only charter that tries to include the full Aeolian rotation. The Sicily-mainland-to-Aeolian repositioning runs the structural 5 to 8-hour transit each direction and the 7-night charter compresses the Aeolian to a two-night Stromboli-and-Panarea call without the structural Lipari, Salina, and Vulcano rotation. Build the Aeolian into the 10 to 14-night charter or commit to the Sicily-mainland-only week.
