Ibiza is a high-demand 50 to 60m destination with a narrow marina inventory and aggressive August pricing. The 2026 weekly rate runs $375,000 to $575,000 for motor and $315,000 to $475,000 for sailing, plus APA at 28 to 32 percent. The bracket carries 10 to 12 guests in 6 cabins (7 at the upper end), 13 to 17 crew. The Ibiza-based 50 to 60m fleet is small (estimated 6 to 10 yachts actively basing the season in Ibiza, with the rest crossing from Palma or the Cote d'Azur). Marina Ibiza and Marina Botafoch are the two berths that hold the bracket, and both fill in early August.
Why the bracket sits awkwardly with Ibiza
Ibiza is a port-of-call destination, not a base destination at 50 to 60m. The island's two large marinas (Marina Ibiza on the east side of the harbour, Marina Botafoch on the west) hold the bracket but the slot count is single digits at this size. Above 55m the realistic options narrow to two or three berths island-wide, and the August calendar is fully reserved by January.
Marina Ibiza's outer mole holds 50 to 60m on confirmed reservation. Botafoch's eastern wall holds 50 to 55m. San Antonio bay (Marina San Antonio) does not hold the bracket. The Talamanca anchorage off Marina Botafoch is the default fallback when marina reservations are not confirmed.
The Ibiza client mix is younger than Mallorca's (35 to 55), with a strong London, Madrid, and US private-equity share, and a programmatic emphasis on the nightlife and beach-club calendar. Pacha, Hi, Lio, Ushuaia, and the Cala Jondal restaurant program drive the week's shape. The route is therefore short legs, long days, late nights, with the tender program running harder than any other Mediterranean base outside Mykonos.

Ibiza's August rate sits roughly 6 to 9 percent above Mallorca's at the same LOA, driven by the limited marina inventory and the strength of the demand peak. What the bracket includes in this bracket
Cabins. 6 cabins standard, 7 at the upper end. The Ibiza client mix uses the principal suite hard and the VIP forward hard, with kid cabins less central than on the Mallorca family week. A second full king cabin matters.
Crew. 13 to 17. The captain question here is harder than Mallorca's. The Ibiza marina program is bureaucratic, the agent network around Marina Ibiza is opaque, and the bracket benefits from a captain with two or three Ibiza seasons logged. We would pass on a captain whose Med experience is Cote d'Azur or Sardinia only.
Tenders. Primary 9 to 10m, secondary 7m, plus the full water-toy program (Seabobs, foils, jet skis, paddleboards). The Ibiza tender program is intense. The chase boat makes three to six runs daily during a Cala Jondal or Formentera lunch program and the secondary covers crew duties. Tender garage capacity should be a hard spec check.
Stabilizers. At-anchor stabilizers matter for the Cala Salada, Cala Comte, and Cala Jondal anchorages where afternoon swell builds. Underway stabilizers are less binding on the short Ibiza legs.
Beach club. Standard at this bracket. The opening transom and full water-sports rigging are part of the daily program. Should be confirmed for the August calendar before signing.
Sound spec. Not a frivolous spec on this route. The outdoor sound system, deck-level subwoofer placement, and DJ-deck capability appear on most spec sheets. The Ibiza client week is built around afternoon and evening music programming and the spec should reflect that.
Trip shapes that fit the bracket
The seven-night Ibiza-Formentera week. Embark Ibiza, two nights at the marina with day trips to Cala Comte and Cala Salada, three nights anchored off Formentera with the Illetes lunch program, two nights back at Marina Ibiza or Botafoch for the nightlife close. The bracket runs this route, with the Formentera shallows as the main constraint at 55 to 60m.
The ten-night Ibiza-Mallorca crossover. Embark Ibiza, four nights Formentera and the southern Ibiza coast, cross to Mallorca for the southwestern coast and the Tramuntana, disembark Palma. The bracket handles the crossing and the marina pairing.
The fourteen-night Ibiza-Cote d'Azur reposition. Embark Ibiza, work the Balearics for five to seven nights, cross to Saint-Tropez and the Cote d'Azur for the back half. The crossing is the long open-water leg (250 nautical miles). Workable in calm weather, weather-dependent.

What the bracket does not do well in Ibiza
Formentera Illetes anchoring above 53m. The shallow draft and tight swing room rule out close-in anchoring for 55 to 60m yachts. The lunch program at Beso Beach, Juan y Andrea, or Big Sur Cafe runs a 10 to 18 minute tender ride. Workable but the client experience lags the 40 to 50m bracket here.
Marina Ibiza in early August. The slot count is single digits at 55 to 60m and the August reservation grid is set by January. A late booking puts the yacht at Talamanca anchorage or pushes the embark to Palma. Workable, not the program the client paid for.
Sa Trinxa and Cala Jondal beach-club tender access. The lunch traffic at peak congests the tender drop zones and the bracket should book the restaurant tender slot at least 48 hours ahead to avoid drop-off delays.

Vintage and refit checks
The Ibiza-active 50 to 60m fleet is dominated by Northern European builds with a Mediterranean refit history. A 2014 to 2024 build with a 2023 or 2024 refit is the realistic ask. We would pass on any yacht whose sound system has not been upgraded in the past three years, because the Ibiza client expectation on outdoor audio is unforgiving and a marginal system kills the week.
