A 50 to 60m motor yacht Elba in the 2026 peak window (mid-July through mid-August) sits on a weekly rate of $370,000 to $580,000 plus 27 to 29 percent APA, takes 10 to 12 guests on the 6-cabin standard, and runs 14 to 17 crew. Elba is the central island of the Tuscan Archipelago 10 nautical miles off the Tuscan coast at Piombino and 30 nautical miles north of Argentario, with the harbours of Portoferraio on the northern face, Porto Azzurro on the southeastern face, and Marciana Marina on the northwestern face. The structural arrival runs through Rome Fiumicino (FCO) at 280 kilometres south or Pisa Galileo Galilei (PSA) at 150 kilometres north, with the helicopter transit landing at the Marina di Campo airfield (EBA) on the southern face. The bracket runs Elba as a structural Tyrrhenian repositioning leg rather than a single-week destination, with Portoferraio as the principal 60m-line embarkation and the western anchors as the daytime swim brief. Roughly 5 to 9 yachts in this LOA work Elba and the wider Tuscan Archipelago northern arc through a typical August week.
Why the bracket works Elba
Portoferraio. The northern-face Portoferraio holds the structural 60m-line embarkation on the outer Molo Massimo on prior arrangement at the harbour master, with the supplementary inner-harbour stern-to slots reserved for the 50m line. The shore programme runs the Napoleonic Villa dei Mulini and Villa San Martino daytime tour, the old-town Linguella waterfront brief, and the chief stew's prior bench at the Stella Maris on the central waterfront or the Capo Nord at Capo Bianco western point is the structural broker-side question at inquiry. The Portoferraio harbour master holds the slot through the August window and the 60m-line allocation runs the structural three to four-month lead-time at peak.
Porto Azzurro. The southeastern-face Porto Azzurro runs the supplementary overnight on the Marina di Porto Azzurro outer berths with the 55m-and-up line on the seaward face on prior arrangement, or the anchor on the Mola southern bay on the leeward face. The Porto Azzurro shore programme (the Spanish-fort old-town, the Capoliveri dressed-evening brief 4 kilometres south, the Cala Seregola anchor day-call) runs the structural southern-face daylight rhythm.
The western anchor sequence. The western Elba face runs the structural daytime swim brief on the Sansone northern white-rock anchor, the Padulella swim-brief, the Sant'Andrea northwestern anchor with the Roman quarry rocks daytime call, and the Cavoli and Fetovaia southern beach anchors on the southwestern face. The bracket holds the daylight swim through the western-anchor rotation on the calm-water August window and the structural overnight returns Portoferraio or holds the Sant'Andrea overnight on the prevailing summer northerly leeward face.
The Capraia and Pianosa day-calls. Capraia at 16 nautical miles northwest of Elba runs the structural day-call on the Cala della Mortola eastern anchor with the Capraia village shore brief, on the marine-protection permit basis with the captain's prior permit tenure. Pianosa at 7 nautical miles southwest of Elba runs the supplementary day-call on the Cala Giovanna southwestern anchor, on the marine-park permit basis with the daily access cap on the bracket's prior agency notification.
What the bracket includes in this bracket at Elba
Cabins. Six standard. The 6-cabin August week reads through Elba as a two to three-night Tyrrhenian central leg or the structural Pisa-to-Saint-Tropez repositioning embarkation.
Crew. Fourteen to seventeen. Italian or Maltese-flag charter list dominates the Tyrrhenian fleet and the captain plus chief stew hold the Italian-language operational fluency on the Portoferraio harbour master and the Capraia and Pianosa marine-park agencies. The chief stew's prior bench on the Stella Maris Portoferraio, the Capo Nord Capo Bianco, and the Capoliveri evening reservations is the structural broker-side question at inquiry.
Tenders. Primary 10 to 12m for the Portoferraio and Porto Azzurro shore transfer, secondary 7 to 8m for the at-anchor lunch programme at the Sansone and Cala Seregola, plus a chase boat for the daytime water-sports brief at the Sant'Andrea and Cavoli western anchors. The Elba tender programme runs through the August window on the structural anchor-based daylight rhythm.
At-anchor stabilizers. Required. The Sant'Andrea northwestern overnight, the Fetovaia southwestern anchor, and the Cala Giovanna Pianosa daytime run the at-anchor stabilizers through the August calm window, and the supplementary Capraia Cala della Mortola overnight runs the at-anchor load. The 2018-and-newer hulls run the structural zero-speed product.
Beach club. Required. The Sansone, the Padulella, and the Cavoli western anchors run the beach club open through the swim brief and the bracket runs the fold-out terraces hard through the August daylight window. The Elba western-face Tyrrhenian waters run the 23 to 25-degree August daytime band.
Helipad. Cat A useful. The Rome or Pisa fixed-wing transit runs the 30 to 40-minute helicopter leg to the Marina di Campo airfield, and the supplementary inter-island Capraia and Argentario rotation runs the 8 to 18-minute helicopter window. The captain's prior helipad protocol and the Tuscan Archipelago marine-park agency notification hold the bracket-fit Capraia operation.
Trip shape that fits the bracket
Elba runs the structural Tyrrhenian repositioning leg or the Tuscan Archipelago central-base programme. The 4 to 5-night Elba-and-Tuscan Archipelago shape runs Portoferraio embarkation, two nights anchor rotation on the western face at Sansone and Sant'Andrea with the daytime swim brief, one night Porto Azzurro with the Capoliveri evening, one night Capraia at Cala della Mortola with the village shore brief, return Portoferraio via the Pianosa day-call. Four to five nights. The Elba shape suits the late May to mid-June season-open and the September shoulder.
For the 7-night Tuscan-and-Ligurian charter the bracket runs Elba (two nights) plus Argentario (two nights) plus the Ligurian Portofino crossing (two nights). For the 10-day Pisa-to-Saint-Tropez repositioning the bracket runs Elba (two nights) plus the Corsica Bonifacio crossing (two nights) plus the Bonifacio-to-Saint-Tropez northwestern leg (three nights). For destination context see Charter Ligurian Coast, Charter Corsica, and the Mediterranean charter weekly rates report.
What the bracket does not do well at Elba
The Portoferraio inner-harbour stern-to at the 55m-and-up line. The Portoferraio inner basin runs the supplementary 50m-line stern-to but the bracket's 55m-and-up line reads through the outer Molo Massimo seaward face on prior arrangement and the inner-quay slot is structurally not the berth. We would pass on Portoferraio inner-harbour stern-to representations at the 55m-and-up bracket and hold the outer Molo Massimo or the western-face anchor instead.
The Cala Giovanna Pianosa overnight without the marine-park agency notification. The Pianosa southwestern face runs the structural daily-access cap on the marine-park permit basis and the bracket-fit overnight requires the captain's prior agency notification with the 48-hour lead time on the inbound transit. Confirm the captain's prior Pianosa agency tenure at inquiry, or hold the Cavoli southwestern anchor alternate.
The single-week Elba-only charter at the August peak. The Elba western anchors at the August 5 to 18 ferragosto peak run structurally dense on the Italian holiday traffic and the bracket-fit week reads through the late May to mid-June shoulder window or the structural Tyrrhenian repositioning leg instead. We would pass on broker representations of a peak-week Elba-only charter at the bracket and suggest the Pisa-to-Saint-Tropez or the Tuscan-and-Ligurian shape.
