Cannes is the most berth-rich 55m base in the western Cote d'Azur. The 2026 weekly rate runs $390,000 to $610,000 for motor and $325,000 to $495,000 for sailing, plus APA at 28 to 32 percent. The bracket carries 10 to 12 guests in 6 cabins (7 at the upper end), 14 to 17 crew. Cannes pairs the Vieux Port (Albert Edouard) outer-mole berths, the Port Pierre Canto big-berth side, and the La Napoule extension at Port La Napoule a short transit west. The film festival in May and the Yachting Festival in mid-September drive marina-rate cycles outside the standard summer peak.
Why the bracket fits Cannes specifically
Cannes is the bracket's most flexible western Cote d'Azur option for marina assignment. Three berthing programs hold 50 to 60m.
Albert Edouard (Vieux Port) outer mole. Holds 50 to 60m on the western quay extension. Six to eight slots at peak. The view position (front-row to La Croisette and the Palais des Festivals) makes this the premium summer week assignment.
Port Pierre Canto. The larger eastern Cannes marina holds the bracket on the outer berths. Eight to twelve slots at peak. Less of a view position than Albert Edouard but a more practical operational base, with the tender shuttle to La Croisette running short. The festival weeks compress availability hard.
Port La Napoule. A short transit (about 12 minutes) west of Cannes proper. Holds 50 to 60m on the outer marina. A useful fallback when the Cannes marinas are reserved. The Cannes village tender shuttle is longer here (25 to 35 minutes) and the assignment trades convenience for berth availability.
The Sainte-Marguerite and Sainte-Honorat anchorages off the Iles de Lerins hold the bracket comfortably at anchor in 15 to 30 metre depths. The Iles de Lerins lunch program at La Guerite is a standard week-one stop.
Weekly rate map for 2026

The Cannes rate is roughly level with Saint-Tropez's at the same LOA and 4 to 7 percent below Monaco's. The May film-festival weeks carry a 35 to 70 percent premium over the same-week summer rate and the mid-September Yachting Festival weeks carry a 20 to 35 percent premium. What the bracket buys you in this bracket
Cabins. 6 cabins standard, 7 at the upper end. The Cannes client mix is a Cote d'Azur-week mix (40 to 65, US, London, and Paris weighted). The principal-suite spec matters and the second VIP-king cabin matters.
Crew. 14 to 17. The Cannes marina program is the most operationally simple of the major western Cote d'Azur bases (better berth count than Saint-Tropez, less bureaucracy than Monaco). The captain question is moderate. Two Cote d'Azur seasons logged is the realistic ask.
Tenders. Primary 9 to 10m, secondary 7m, full water-toy program. The Cannes tender program is moderate. The Iles de Lerins lunch run is short, the village shuttle from Albert Edouard is unnecessary (walk-off), and the dinner program is mostly walk-off-or-short-tender from the inner berths. The Port La Napoule fallback shifts the tender program to heavy.
Stabilizers. At-anchor stabilizers matter for the Iles de Lerins anchorages and for the open-roadstead day at Sainte-Marguerite. Underway stabilizers are less binding on the short Cote d'Azur legs.
Beach club. Standard at this bracket. Should be confirmed for the August calendar.
Helipad. Touch-and-go appears around 55m. Nice airport is the natural transfer and a touch-and-go pad cuts the transfer from a 35 minute car ride to a 9 minute hop.
Trip shapes that fit the bracket
The seven-night Cote d'Azur week from Cannes. Embark Cannes, day one at the Iles de Lerins, west to Saint-Tropez for two nights, return east along the Esterel to anchor off the Cap d'Antibes, two nights at Cannes or Monaco, disembark Cannes. The bracket runs this route without strain.
The ten-night Cote d'Azur plus Corsica. Embark Cannes, west to Saint-Tropez for two nights, cross to Calvi and the western Corsica coast for three to four nights, return north through the Cote d'Azur, disembark Cannes. The bracket handles the crossing and the marina pairing.
The fourteen-night Cote d'Azur plus Sardinia. Embark Cannes, work the Cote d'Azur for five nights, cross to Bonifacio, descend Sardinia's east coast to the Costa Smeralda, disembark Olbia. The bracket fits the full route.

What the bracket does not do well in Cannes
Albert Edouard at festival peak. The film-festival weeks (typically mid to late May) and the Yachting Festival week (mid-September) take Albert Edouard offline for charter assignment because the marina is reserved for industry programs. The bracket should plan around these weeks unless the program is festival-related.
The Croisette anchorage in any easterly forecast. The roadstead off La Croisette is exposed to easterlies and chops up quickly in the wind shifts. The bracket should reposition to the Iles de Lerins lee or to Port Pierre Canto on the wind watch.
Bay congestion in early August. The anchorage between Cannes and Cap d'Antibes is congested at peak and a 55 to 60m yacht needs a midweek arrival, not a Saturday lunch, for the Iles de Lerins lunch program.

For a group of 10, ten days in early August, Cote d'Azur plus Corsica: a 55m motor yacht with 6 cabins, certified at-anchor stabilizers, touch-and-go helipad, embarkation Cannes. Budget $495K plus APA, all-in roughly $680K. Booking lead time: 11 to 14 months.
For a group of 12, fourteen days in late July, Cote d'Azur plus Sardinia: a 58m motor yacht with 7 cabins, embarkation Cannes, disembarkation Olbia. Budget $590K plus APA, all-in roughly $810K. Booking lead time: 13 to 16 months.
Build, refit, what to ask
The Cannes 50 to 60m fleet leans heavily on Feadship, Lurssen, Heesen, Benetti, and Amels builds with regular northern European refit cycles. A 2014 to 2024 build with a 2023 or 2024 refit is the realistic ask. We would pass on any yacht whose tender spec is undersized (sub-9m primary) because the Cote d'Azur tender program is moderate-to-heavy and an undersized chase boat compromises the week. We would also pass on any yacht arriving directly from a long Caribbean season without a Mediterranean refit. Confirm refit dates against the broker spec sheet.
