A 50 to 60m yacht calling at Bequia through the 2026 winter (mid-December to mid-April) runs $290,000 to $430,000 per week plus 30 percent APA, takes 10 to 12 guests across 6 cabins, and carries 14 to 17 crew. Bequia at this LOA is the structural northern port-of-entry into St Vincent and the Grenadines for the southbound Grenadines rotation, plus a one or two-night Admiralty Bay overnight inside the wider 7 to 14 night Grenadines programme. The bracket holds Admiralty Bay on the western lee at 7 to 22 metres of sand and weed across the inner and outer reach, with the outer reach taking the bracket-fit overnight at the south-pointing Princess Margaret Beach line and the inner reach taking the cleared customs and shore-tender call to Port Elizabeth. J.F. Mitchell airport (BQU) on the southwestern face handles regional fixed-wing only, with the wider rotation embarking through St Lucia (UVF), Martinique (FDF), or Argyle on St Vincent (SVD). Roughly 5 to 10 yachts in this LOA call at Bequia through a typical February week as the northern Grenadines port-of-entry.
Why the bracket calls at Bequia specifically
Admiralty Bay on the western lee is the structural protected anchorage in the northern Grenadines and the bracket-fit port-of-entry into St Vincent and the Grenadines from St Lucia and Martinique. The bay carries the longest north-south reach in the chain, with the outer reach holding the bracket on 10 to 22 metres of sand and weed against the south-facing Princess Margaret Beach line. The customs and immigration clearance runs at Port Elizabeth on the eastern face of the bay, with the captain's prior crew-manifest filing 48 to 72 hours ahead through the SVG ports authority.
The shore programme at Bequia is the daylight call to Princess Margaret Beach on the south face, the Lower Bay daylight to the south at the western tender landing, and the Port Elizabeth waterfront for the chief stew's prior reservation bench at the Frangipani Hotel on the south face for the dinner call, the Whaleboner immediately north of the Frangipani for the daylight bar, the Mac's Pizza on Belmont Walkway for the casual lunch, and the Bagatelle on Lower Bay for the upper-end daylight lunch. The Bequia model boat-makers on the Belmont Walkway hold a daylight call for the captain-side shore programme.
The Friendship Bay anchorage on the southern face holds the southern leeward alternative on prior tender shuttle, with the bracket-fit overnight reading on the Admiralty Bay outer reach and the daylight Friendship anchorage holding the secondary tender for the eastern face reach. The Petit Nevis anchorage 1 nautical mile southwest holds the bracket on daylight call only for the whaling-history shore programme.
The BQU airport on the southwestern face handles light fixed-wing only (Mustique Airlines and SVG Air services from SVD), and the wider rotation embarkation runs through UVF St Lucia or FDF Martinique. Helicopter shuttle from BQU to the yacht's helipad runs at the bracket-fit upper end on prior SVG civil aviation authority confirmation.
Weekly rate map for winter 2026
Rates below are peak season (mid-December 2026 to mid-April 2027), before APA at 28 to 32 percent and gratuity at 12 to 15 percent. The Bequia call inside a wider rotation books at the corresponding base rate (typically the St Lucia or Martinique bracket figure) plus the SVG port-of-entry clearance fee and the Tobago Cays Marine Park entry through the APA.
| LOA bracket | Motor yacht (low to high) | Sailing yacht and motor-sailor (low to high) |
|---|---|---|
| 50 to 53m | $290K to $330K per week | $235K to $280K per week |
| 53 to 57m | $330K to $385K per week | $275K to $330K per week |
| 57 to 60m | $370K to $430K per week | $310K to $370K per week |
The NYE window runs a 45 to 70 percent premium against the central January figure and pulls the bracket south to the Mustique mooring line and the Tobago Cays Marine Park anchorage, with Bequia holding the structural port-of-entry call inside the NYE programme. The shoulder weeks in early December and the second half of April drop the figure 20 to 30 percent across the wider rotation. For broader context see Caribbean charter weekly rates and the 40-50m Bequia bracket.
What the bracket buys you in this bracket
Cabins. Six standard. The Grenadines winter pool at the bracket runs the on-deck master plus VIP plus four guest doubles as the layout, with the seven-cabin layout at the 57m-plus upper end for the NYE family pattern.
Crew. Fourteen to seventeen. The Bequia call rewards a captain bench with prior Admiralty Bay outer-reach anchor tenure, the SVG port-of-entry customs filing routine through Port Elizabeth, and the Tobago Cays Marine Park entry standing. The chef bench is calibrated to the British and South African southern-Caribbean pool, and the chief stew's prior bench on the Frangipani plus the Whaleboner plus Mac's Pizza reservations is the structural shore-side question.
Tenders. Primary 11 to 12m fast tender plus a 7 to 8m beach tender plus a chase boat. The Princess Margaret Beach, the Lower Bay, and the Friendship Bay daylight calls run tender-heavy daylight programmes, and the Port Elizabeth customs shuttle runs the primary tender at the eastern face of Admiralty Bay.
At-anchor stabilizers. Required. The Admiralty Bay outer reach holds protected water through most of the trade-wind window but takes the prevailing easterly chop and the occasional westerly afternoon swell. The 2018-and-newer hulls running the zero-speed product hold the bracket fit.
Beach club. Required. The Princess Margaret Beach, the Lower Bay, and the Friendship Bay daylight anchorages run the beach club open hard through the 26 to 27 degree water band.
Helipad. Cat A useful at the upper end. The BQU airport 4 to 6 minute helicopter leg holds the cross-island shuttle to Mustique MQS or south to Canouan CIW for the upper-end shore programme.
Trip shape that fits the bracket
The bracket's Bequia call sits inside a 7 to 14 night Grenadines rotation rather than a standalone week. The 7-night Grenadines round trip runs St Lucia or Bequia embarkation, one or two nights at Bequia (the structural port-of-entry plus one daylight call), two nights at Mustique on the Britannia Bay mooring with the Basil's Bar and Macaroni Beach daylight, two nights at the Tobago Cays on the marine park anchorage, one night at Canouan or Union Island, return north through Bequia for the disembark or onward to St Lucia.
The 10-night Grenadines extended rotation runs Martinique or St Lucia embarkation, two nights at Bequia split between the Admiralty Bay outer-reach overnight and the Friendship Bay daylight, three to four nights at Mustique through the Britannia Bay mooring window, three nights at the Tobago Cays and Mayreau, two nights at Union Island and Petit Saint Vincent. The 10-night routing is the bracket's strongest shape for spending material time at Bequia.
The 14-night southern Caribbean full rotation runs Martinique embarkation, southbound through St Lucia and Bequia, four to five nights at Mustique through the Wednesday Basil's Bar Jump-up, three nights at the Tobago Cays, two nights at Petit Saint Vincent and Union Island, return north for the disembark. Bequia holds two to three nights in the 14-night rotation as the structural northern Grenadines port-of-entry and shore-call.
What the bracket does not do well at Bequia
The standalone Bequia 7-night week at the bracket. The island has no commercial marina that holds the bracket on stern-to and the anchorage variety exhausts inside 48 hours. We would pass on a Bequia-only week and position the wider Grenadines rotation with 1 to 3 Bequia nights as the bracket-fit shape.
The Admiralty Bay inner-reach overnight without the captain's prior customs filing. The Port Elizabeth customs clearance is the binding compliance line for the SVG port-of-entry on the southbound rotation, and the captain's prior crew-manifest filing 48 to 72 hours ahead holds the bracket-fit clearance. We would pass on any plan that books an Admiralty Bay overnight without the SVG customs filing in writing.
The St Vincent mainland Wallilabou call as a primary Bequia substitute. The Wallilabou anchorage on the St Vincent mainland holds the alternate SVG port-of-entry but reads thinner than Bequia for the bracket because of the rolly anchorage and the lighter shore infrastructure. We would pass on a Wallilabou-only port-of-entry plan and route the clearance through Port Elizabeth Bequia for the bracket-fit overnight.
Two we would book
For two couples, 7-night Grenadines round trip in mid-February with Bequia embarkation, two nights at Mustique on the Britannia Bay mooring with the Basil's Bar and Macaroni Beach daylight, two nights at the Tobago Cays, one night at Bequia return: a 53 to 55m motor yacht, 6 cabins, twin tenders plus chase boat, captain bench on the Admiralty Bay outer-reach anchor and the SVG Port Elizabeth customs filing. Budget $360K per week, all-in roughly $480K including APA at 30 percent. Lead time 7 to 10 months.
For a family of 10, 10-night Grenadines extended rotation in early March with Martinique embarkation, two nights at Bequia split between Admiralty Bay outer reach and Friendship Bay daylight, three nights at Mustique, three nights at the Tobago Cays, two nights at Union and Petit Saint Vincent: a 56 to 58m motor yacht, 6 cabins, Cat A helipad useful for the BQU cross-island shuttle, captain bench on the Mustique Company allocation plus the Tobago Cays Marine Park entry standing. Budget $410K per week, all-in roughly $545K. Lead time 10 to 14 months.
